Key Responsibilities

• Manage the entire cost accounting function, ensuring precise standard costs, inventory valuation, and comprehensive cost reporting that supports strategic decision-making.
• Develop and refine standard costing models that accurately mirror evolving production processes, material costs, and labor efficiencies.
• Maintain BOM accuracy and routing integrity to facilitate seamless cost roll-ups and reliable product costing across the product lifecycle.

EPICOR ERP and Data Mastery

• Expertly utilize the EPICOR ERP system to pull critical data, perform in-depth analyses, and generate reports that uphold system integrity and GAAP compliance.
• Monitor manufacturing variances in real-time, pinpoint root causes through rigorous analysis, and propose actionable corrective measures to minimize waste and optimize costs.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Reporting

• Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and production leaders to deliver insightful cost analyses, accurate forecasting, and profitability-enhancing recommendations.
• Spearhead monthly and quarterly cost close processes, handling complex reconciliations, journal entries, and ensuring timely financial closes.
• Prepare executive-level cost reports, financial analyses, and key performance metrics, presenting findings to senior management with clarity and confidence.
• Uphold strict adherence to GAAP standards and internal policies while fostering a culture of excellence in cost accounting practices.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing cost accounting team, providing guidance for professional growth and operational success.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Cost Accounting Manager, you bring a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, coupled with at least 5-7 years of progressive experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing setting.
