Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development

Take ownership of developing, maintaining, and optimizing robust data pipelines using industry-leading tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Data Factory. Your expertise will ensure seamless data flow, scalability, and performance optimization to meet evolving business demands.

BI Solutions and Data Modeling

Design and implement advanced data modeling techniques while crafting scalable business intelligence (BI) solutions perfectly aligned with organizational objectives. Harness Power BI to build intuitive dashboards and reports that guarantee data accuracy, usability, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Data Integration and Lakehouse Architecture

Expertly integrate diverse data sources, including APIs and Dataverse, into Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2. Employ Delta Lake and Parquet formats to structure and manage data within a modern lakehouse architecture, enabling efficient analytics and machine learning workflows.

Governance and Collaboration

Establish and enforce comprehensive BI governance frameworks to uphold consistent data standards and best practices. Partner closely with cross-functional teams—spanning Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Accounting—to elicit requirements, deliver actionable insights, and foster a data-driven culture.

Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement

Independently diagnose, document, and resolve complex data issues while championing continuous improvement initiatives. Lead or support Agile/Scrum-based projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data solutions. Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring emerging technologies and trends in data engineering.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record in data engineering with hands-on experience in Azure technologies. Key qualifications include:

• Deep proficiency in Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.
• Strong skills in data integration from sources like APIs and Dataverse into Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Expertise with Delta Lake, Parquet, and lakehouse architectures.
• Experience defining BI governance frameworks and ensuring data quality.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Superior problem-solving abilities, with a focus on troubleshooting and documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (advanced degrees preferred).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or BI development.
