Key Responsibilities

As a Database Administrator, your days will be filled with hands-on tasks to keep data flowing reliably:

• Monitor and maintain company data repositories, including COTS databases and internally developed systems, to uphold peak performance.
• Provide expert diagnosis for database problems, performance issues, and optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with the IT manager to design and architect company data repositories and Data Warehouses (DW).
• Ensure unwavering data consistency across internal systems and third-party databases for reliable operations.
• Track missing data, backfill where possible, and maintain comprehensive logs.
• Aid departments in uploading data for new acquisitions, particularly supporting Production with well information into accounting systems.
• Develop ad-hoc data queries, specialized reporting, and user-friendly data analysis from company or external sources.
• Support end-users with Microsoft Office tools, including Access and Excel, for efficient data handling.
• Optimize data retrieval processes for external vendors to enhance integration.
• Follow established data management practices to safeguard data integrity company-wide.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Database Administrator role, bring the following expertise:

• Proven track record in Microsoft SQL Server administration, monitoring, and maintenance.
• Strong skills in database performance tuning, diagnosis, and design/modeling.
• Experience ensuring data consistency and integrity in multi-system environments.
