Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

Lead and manage a large workgroup comprising individual contributors, supervisors, and managers, fostering a culture of accountability, autonomy, and excellence. Oversee daily support operations to deliver timely, high-quality solutions that minimize downtime and maximize user satisfaction. Represent the application support department in cross-functional initiatives, providing expert guidance and independent decision-making to drive organizational success.

Technical & Strategic Management

Oversee multiple processes, programs, and application support initiatives, identifying innovative solutions for technical and operational challenges. Translate high-level organizational strategies into actionable annual goals for the application support function. Stay ahead of industry trends in software development, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity, bringing strategic insights to evolve the technology ecosystem. Coordinate closely with development teams to roll out upgrades, enhancements, and best practices that enhance system performance.

Team Development & Budgeting

Invest in your team's growth by developing and mentoring staff to address both short- and long-term departmental needs. Manage comprehensive budget planning, monitor financial performance, and optimize resource allocation for maximum impact. Ensure unwavering compliance with regulatory standards, industry best practices, and internal policies, mitigating risks while promoting operational excellence. Required Qualifications

To excel as our Director of Applications, candidates must possess a robust blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and strategic vision. A minimum of 10 years in IT application support or equivalent experience is required, including at least 5 years in progressive leadership roles managing sizable teams. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is essential, with a Master's degree highly preferred.
