Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will drive the following core functions:

  • Oversee preparation, review, and timely submission of all SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, etc.), ensuring zero compliance issues.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to U.S. GAAP, SOX, and SEC regulations across all financial disclosures.
  • Conduct thorough research on emerging accounting standards (ASC topics, FASB updates) and assess organizational impact.
  • Partner with Big 4/external auditors to streamline quarterly reviews and annual audits, minimizing disruptions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, tax, and accounting teams to validate complex data sets for reporting.
  • Design and enforce internal controls tailored to real estate investments, property acquisitions, and dispositions.
  • Deliver executive-ready financial reports and presentations for C-suite and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Support M&A initiatives through due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-merger integration reporting.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team of reporting analysts, promoting best practices and career growth.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Active CPA certification and Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting or Finance.

  • Expertise in Workiva, EDGAR, Excel (advanced functions, Power Query), and ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
