About the Role

The EDI Director will take full ownership of global EDI platform operations, from stability and continuous improvement to incident resolution and vendor management. Reporting to senior IT leadership, you will bridge technical EDI expertise with business needs, ensuring that EDI transactions flow reliably across suppliers, customers, and internal systems. Key focus areas include leveraging Azure Logic Apps for Dynamics 365 integrations, maintaining compliance with data security standards like GDPR and PII, and fostering cross-functional partnerships across logistics, sales, operations, and IT. This role demands a strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operations with long-term innovation in supply chain technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end global EDI platform operations, driving stability, scalability, and continuous improvement initiatives to support evolving business demands.
• Ensure 99.9%+ reliability in EDI transaction flows between trading partners, warehouses, and internal ERP systems.
• Architect and lead complex EDI integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, utilizing Azure Logic Apps for workflow automation and real-time data synchronization.
• Manage the full lifecycle of EDI onboarding for new trading partners, including mapping, testing, and go-live support.
• Proactively monitor EDI flows using advanced tools, swiftly resolve production incidents, and lead thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee EDI vendor relationships, negotiate SLAs, optimize costs, and enforce performance standards for maximum ROI.
• Implement and maintain secure data exchange protocols via SFTP, RESTful APIs, and industry-standard EDI formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT).
• Collaborate closely with global teams in logistics, sales, operations, and IT to align EDI strategies with broader supply chain objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, develop KPI dashboards for executive reporting, and ensure full compliance with regulations including PII protection and GDPR.

Required Qualifications

To succeed as our EDI Director, you bring 10+ years of progressive experience in EDI leadership, with hands-on expertise in Dynamics 365 and Azure technologies. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, coupled with proven success in global supply chain environments. Key qualifications include deep knowledge of EDI standards, integration platforms, and security protocols; strong vendor management skills; and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional settings. Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, or EDI technologies are highly desirable.
