This on-site role is perfect for a strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced environments and has a passion for creating unforgettable experiential marketing campaigns. As the Event Marketing Manager, you will spearhead the strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of high-impact events such as trade shows, conferences, brand activations, and virtual experiences. Your work will directly contribute to elevating brand visibility, generating high-quality leads, and fostering meaningful customer engagement that aligns seamlessly with overarching business goals.

In this pivotal position, you'll blend creativity with analytical prowess, ensuring every event not only captivates audiences but also delivers measurable ROI. Atlanta's thriving business scene, with its blend of Fortune 500 companies and innovative startups, provides the ideal backdrop for this role. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in event logistics and cross-functional teamwork, this opportunity at Robert Half's esteemed client could be your next career milestone. Join a team that's redefining event marketing in the Southeast United States.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Leadership

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive event marketing strategy that aligns with broader marketing, sales, and go-to-market objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of diverse events, from initial concept to post-event wrap-up, including logistics, vendor selection, budgeting, contract negotiation, and on-site coordination.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Promotion

  • Partner closely with sales, product marketing, and creative teams to ensure all events reinforce brand messaging and drive pipeline growth.
  • Craft and execute promotional strategies leveraging digital channels, email campaigns, social media, and SEO-optimized content to maximize attendance and engagement.

Measurement and Optimization

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as registration rates, attendance, lead generation, pipeline contribution, and long-term post-event engagement.
  • Produce detailed post-event reports, analyze ROI, and recommend optimizations for future initiatives to continuously improve event effectiveness.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging event technologies (like VR/AR integrations and hybrid formats), and competitive landscapes to innovate and differentiate.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Event Marketing Manager, you bring a proven blend of strategic vision and tactical execution. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, or a similar role. Deep expertise in event logistics—from venue sourcing and AV production to travel coordination—is essential, as is proficiency in budgeting, vendor negotiations, and contract management.

You excel in cross-functional environments, collaborating seamlessly with sales, product, and creative stakeholders. Quantitative skills shine through your ability to measure success via KPIs and ROI analysis using tools like Google Analytics, Salesforce, or event platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite). Familiarity with digital promotion tactics, including SEO for event pages, social media amplification, and email nurturing, is a must. Bonus points for experience with virtual/hybrid events and staying abreast of trends like sustainable event practices and AI-driven personalization. Strong communication, project management (e.g., Asana, Monday.com), and problem-solving skills round out the profile for this Atlanta-based role.
