Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), journal entries, and precise bank reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger following strict GAAP standards, ensuring all entries are audit-ready.
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements, balance sheets, profit & loss reports, and customized internal management reports for leadership decision-making.
• Conduct in-depth account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and upholding data integrity across high-volume transactions.
• Process payroll for 120 employees, managing withholdings, direct deposits, and compliance with payroll tax filings and regulations.
• Leverage QuickBooks Online to record, track, categorize, and review all financial transactions efficiently.
• Support budget tracking and financial planning by providing variance analysis and forecasting insights tailored to restaurant operations.
• Apply double-entry bookkeeping principles to organize and archive financial documentation for easy retrieval.
• Collaborate on external audits by compiling schedules, PBC lists, and supporting documents promptly.
• Remain proactive on evolving accounting standards, regulatory changes, and restaurant industry best practices to mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications for Success

To excel as our Full Charge Bookkeeper, you need hands-on experience in restaurant or multi-entity accounting, advanced QuickBooks Online proficiency, and a rock-solid grasp of GAAP. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in full-charge roles, proven payroll expertise for large teams, and the ability to work independently in dynamic settings.
