Key Responsibilities

Investment Funds & Management Company Financials

  • Assist with wire processing for capital distributions, redemptions, capital calls, and operational expenses
  • Support quarterly and annual financial close processes, preparing detailed financial statements, valuation schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate closely with third-party fund administrators to shadow, reconcile, and maintain accurate books and records
  • Prepare comprehensive quarterly investor reporting packages, including performance summaries, capital activity schedules, and portfolio updates
  • Execute analytical projects including complex asset valuations, public comparable company analyses, and waterfall distribution calculations
  • Monitor and collect financial data from portfolio companies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Maintain meticulous documentation compliant with internal policies, GAAP standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and prepare schedules for year-end audits and tax filings

Limited Partner & Investor Support

  • Coordinate with Finance and Investor Relations teams to execute capital call and distribution allocations, preparing investor notices and confirmations
  • Track, manage, and fulfill audit confirmation requests from investors, auditors, and portfolio entities
  • Drive automation initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiency in fund accounting workflows

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Fund Accountant position, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of GAAP, fund accounting principles, and private equity structures
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling); experience with accounting software like Investran or Allvue a plus
