Take full ownership of the fund accounting process, including orchestrating month-end closes, executing journal entries, and performing meticulous account reconciliations. Your oversight will ensure seamless operations and timely deliverables in a high-volume environment.
Lead the preparation and thorough review of financial statements, guaranteeing adherence to GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Implement robust controls to maintain the integrity of the general ledger, minimizing risks and enhancing accuracy.
Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of accounting professionals, cultivating a positive, collaborative culture. Provide expert guidance on complex accounting challenges, serving as a trusted resource for team members, stakeholders, and clients alike.
Conduct in-depth financial data analysis to pinpoint discrepancies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement. Champion process improvements and system upgrades to streamline operations and boost overall efficiency.
Partner with external auditors to facilitate smooth financial statement audits, delivering required documentation promptly. Maintain proactive communication with clients and internal teams, addressing inquiries and providing regular updates on key deliverables. To excel as our Fund Accounting Manager, you bring a proven track record in hedge fund accounting with at least 5-7 years of progressive experience. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is essential, with CPA certification strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership in managing accounting teams is non-negotiable, complemented by advanced proficiency in financial analysis, GAAP compliance, and audit processes.
Technical expertise should include mastery of accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel. Exceptional communication skills enable you to bridge gaps between technical teams, clients, and executives.
