About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve critical tasks that safeguard the firm's operations:

• Conduct thorough conflicts checks for new clients, matters, and lateral hires, analyzing potential issues with precision.
• Identify conflicts and collaborate on resolutions, communicating effectively with stakeholders.
• Manage the end-to-end new matter intake process, ensuring accurate data entry in governance systems.
• Draft, review, and finalize engagement letters and ethical screening documents.
• Establish, monitor, and maintain ethical walls to prevent information breaches.
• Support reviews of outside counsel guidelines and audit letters, ensuring compliance.
• Provide expert advice to attorneys and staff on governance policies and best practices.
• Generate detailed reports for management, auditors, and key stakeholders to drive informed decisions.

Required Qualifications

To excel, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Compliance, Risk Management, or a related field.

• Proven proficiency in conflicts analysis, ethical walls, and matter management systems like Intapp or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for drafting documents and advising teams.
• Availability for Thursday–Monday shifts, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM PT.
• Residency within commuting distance of Los Angeles, CA; San Francisco, CA; or Washington, D.C.
