Key Responsibilities

Core Technical Duties

• Install, de-install, upgrade, and replace telecommunications equipment within Central Offices and remote facilities to ensure seamless network performance.
• Hands-on work with AC and DC power systems, expertly managing battery plants, rectifiers, distribution bays, grounding systems, and power cabling.
• Execute power cutovers, equipment turn-up, and migrations by strictly following engineering documents, standards, and best practices.

Operational and Troubleshooting Tasks

• Conduct thorough site surveys, validate inventory accuracy, and meticulously document all work per company guidelines.
• Troubleshoot complex issues related to equipment, power systems, circuits, and connectivity to minimize downtime and support continuous network operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, power schematics, and installation manuals with precision to guarantee error-free implementations.

Compliance and Collaboration

• Uphold stringent safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and Network Operations Center (NOC) teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Maintain detailed records, including daily progress reports, test results, and comprehensive site documentation for accountability and future reference.
• Travel regularly across the Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Florida Gulf Coast service areas, adapting to field-based demands.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Level 2 Telecommunications Technician, you need proven hands-on experience in telecom central office environments.
