About the Role

As a Litigation Associate, you will be at the heart of sophisticated commercial litigation matters, handling everything from case inception to resolution. Key Responsibilities

Core Litigation Duties

Your primary responsibility will be overseeing 25 complex litigation matters through all phases. This includes developing case strategies, conducting in-depth legal research, and preparing comprehensive pleadings. You will draft various motions, such as motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and discovery motions, ensuring precision and persuasive argumentation.

Discovery and Depositions

Excel in all aspects of written discovery, including propounding and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. Take and defend depositions of key witnesses, fact witnesses, and experts, honing your skills in witness examination and strategy. Your ability to navigate discovery disputes will be crucial to advancing cases efficiently.

Trial Preparation and Execution

Prepare meticulously for trials, including organizing exhibits, prepping witnesses, and crafting opening statements and closing arguments. Attend trials and hearings, gaining hands-on courtroom experience in federal and state courts. Work closely with partners to execute winning strategies in high-value commercial litigation.

Required Qualifications

Experience and Education

Candidates must possess 3+ years of civil litigation experience at a reputable firm or in-house. A Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active California Bar license are required. Proven track record in commercial litigation, with expertise in drafting motions, discovery, depositions, and trial work.

Skills and Attributes
