Key Responsibilities

As Manager of Technical Accounting and Deal Analysis, your core duties will include:

  • Leading preparation of opening balance sheets for newly acquired entities and resolving complex technical accounting issues related to transactions
  • Conducting comprehensive financial analysis for deal structuring, including detailed purchase price allocations and post-closing adjustments
  • Performing entity-level working capital calculations and ensuring full compliance with ASC 805 business combination standards
  • Providing accounting leadership for corporate teams during acquisition integrations and intercompany transaction accounting
  • Developing cash flow forecasts and acquisition-related financial reporting packages
  • Maintaining expertise in technical accounting standards including ASC 805, ASC 606 (Revenue), and ASC 842 (Leases)
  • Supporting the rollout and optimization of new ERP systems across the organization
  • Preparing detailed workpapers, month-end reconciliations for balance sheet and key P&L accounts
  • Identifying, valuing tangible and intangible assets, liabilities, and calculating goodwill for acquisition accounting
  • Integrating acquired companies into consolidated financial reporting systems
  • Partnering with external auditors and tax teams for annual audits and compliance filings

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Active CPA certification or equivalent
  • 3-5+ years of progressive technical accounting experience, ideally from public accounting (Big 4/middle market)
  • Deep expertise in business combinations (ASC 805), purchase accounting, and M&A financial reporting
  • Hands-on experience with working capital true-ups, PPA models, and acquisition integration
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant GAAP standards
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel financial modeling
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
