Key Responsibilities

Daily P&L and Position Management

Execute end-of-day flash T+0 P&L estimates and comprehensive T+1 P&L production, reconciling trades against market data for physical energy portfolios. Perform position reconciliations, verifying quantities, prices, and valuations to maintain operational integrity.

Risk and Hedge Analytics

Conduct hedge analysis, assessing effectiveness of hedging strategies in volatile energy markets. Develop market risk analytics, including VaR models, stress testing, and exposure reporting to inform trading decisions and mitigate downside risks.

Trading Support Functions

Support the physical energy trading desk with pricing analysis, trade booking, and ad-hoc queries. Collaborate with traders on deal structuring, curve building, and scenario analysis using advanced Excel models and trading systems.

Reporting and Compliance

Generate daily and monthly risk reports for senior management, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. Assist in month-end close processes and audit preparations.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• 2-5 years in middle office, trade support, or risk roles within commodities, energy trading, or hedge funds.
• Deep knowledge of physical energy markets (e.g., NYMEX, ICE) and trading lifecycle.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VBA scripting, and tools like Bloomberg or ETRM systems.
