Key Responsibilities

In this position, your day-to-day tasks will focus on proactive network management and support:

• Manage, monitor, and maintain company LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure efficient operation and uptime.
• Configure and support network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and escalate advanced problems to senior staff when needed.
• Conduct regular network health checks, monitoring for performance bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
• Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and technology migrations.
• Follow established network security protocols, administer firewall rules, VPN access, and support intrusion prevention efforts.
• Document network configurations and changes, ensuring accurate records for compliance and support purposes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and junior IT staff on network topics.
• Participate in backup and disaster recovery planning and testing for network infrastructure.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices, including SD-WAN and cloud networking.

Required Qualifications

To succeed as our Network Administrator, you should bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on network administration experience in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and other routing protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark.
• Expertise in security practices, including firewall management, VPN configuration, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for resolving connectivity and performance issues swiftly.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ are highly preferred.
• Excellent documentation habits for maintaining compliance and facilitating team handoffs.
• Strong communication skills to support end-users and collaborate with IT teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus.
