Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will be hands-on and varied, ensuring our networks run seamlessly:

• Install, configure, and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems using tools like Cisco IOS, Juniper Junos, and Aruba switches.
• Monitor network performance with advanced tools such as SolarWinds NPM, PRTG, or Wireshark, proactively troubleshooting issues to maintain 99.9% uptime for all users.
• Maintain network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software, applying critical updates, patches, and firmware upgrades while minimizing disruptions.
• Assist in network design and capacity planning, forecasting bandwidth needs and scaling infrastructure for business expansion, including hybrid cloud environments.
• Implement robust network security measures, including next-gen firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet), VPNs, ACLs, and zero-trust access controls to defend against threats.
• Document network configurations, changes, and diagrams using tools like Visio or Lucidchart, ensuring compliance with standards like NIST and ISO 27001.
• Coordinate with vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.) and cross-functional IT staff for rapid problem resolution and hardware procurement.
• Support network backup, replication, and disaster recovery initiatives with solutions like Veeam or Zerto, conducting regular tests for business continuity.
• Provide tier-2/3 technical support and training to end-users and colleagues via ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Jira.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, SDN, and SASE, recommending implementations to enhance performance and security.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, bring the following expertise:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5+ years of progressive network engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA/JNCIP, or equivalent.
