Key Responsibilities

Legacy System Support & Optimization

Maintain Linux-based systems in the on-premises datacenter, troubleshooting complex issues to ensure 99.9%+ uptime for legacy applications. Implement security best practices and performance tuning to support business-critical workloads during the cloud transition phase.

Configuration Management & Automation

Leverage Chef to develop custom cookbooks, recipes, and scripts that automate deployments, patching, and compliance checks. Streamline operations across hybrid environments, reducing manual interventions and accelerating delivery pipelines.

Cloud Migration Leadership

Execute migration strategies including lift-and-shift, replatforming, and refactoring for AWS, Azure, or GCP. Assess workloads, plan data transfers, and validate post-migration performance to minimize downtime and costs.

Nutanix HCI & Storage Management

Administer Nutanix clusters for scalability and resilience, optimizing resource allocation. Configure Scality RING and other S3-compatible object storage for replication, backups, and lifecycle policies in on-prem and cloud setups.

Monitoring, Incident Response & Collaboration

Proactively monitor with Splunk, DataDog, or ELK Stack; respond to alerts during on-call rotations, conduct root-cause analysis, and document improvements. Partner cross-functionally to align infrastructure with application needs.
