Key Responsibilities

Your role as an Oracle DBA will encompass a wide range of critical tasks:

• Design and Implementation: Architect robust Database Management Systems (DBMS) tailored to organizational needs, ensuring scalability and security for Oracle environments.
• Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and oversee database projects, from routine maintenance to complex migrations.
• Data Optimization: Develop innovative strategies to eliminate redundancy, promote single-source data truth, and enhance query performance.
• Development Support: Collaborate with dev teams, converting logical designs to physical models using DDL, and creating tables, indexes, views, and procedures.
• Backup and Recovery: Implement comprehensive RMAN backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard data integrity.
• 24/7 On-Call Support: Provide round-the-clock incident response, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks and ensuring 99.99% uptime.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor systems with tools like AWR, ADDM, and OEM; fine-tune SQL, wait events, and resource allocation for optimal response times.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with developers to optimize application code, reducing I/O and CPU demands on the database.
• Upgrades and Innovation: Lead Oracle DBMS upgrades, including testing, data conversion, and rollout, while staying ahead of emerging trends like cloud integration and automation.
• Standards Enforcement: Maintain compliance with database best practices and document procedures for audit readiness.

Additional duties may include capacity planning, security patching, and scripting automation with shell or Python.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Oracle Database Administrator, you need:

• 5+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience (11g/12c/19c preferred).
• Deep expertise in Oracle RDBMS, RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning, PL/SQL development, and EXPDP/IMPDP.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills for database hosting.
• Experience with monitoring tools (OEM, Toad, SQL Developer).
• Proven track record in high-availability environments and on-call rotations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Oracle OCP certification highly desirable.
