Key Responsibilities

System Management and Oversight

Take full ownership of Kantech access control and AiPhone intercom systems, including installation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization. You will ensure these systems operate seamlessly 24/7, minimizing downtime and maximizing protection for facilities and personnel.

Security Protocol Development

Design, implement, and refine physical and digital security protocols tailored to protect sensitive information. This includes creating layered defense strategies that integrate badge readers, video feeds, intrusion detection, and cybersecurity best practices.

Monitoring and Incident Response

Actively monitor security systems using advanced dashboards and alerts, responding swiftly to breaches, irregularities, or potential vulnerabilities. Your quick thinking will prevent incidents from escalating into major issues.

Audits and Compliance

Lead comprehensive security audits to verify adherence to data privacy regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and NIST frameworks. Document findings, recommend improvements, and track remediation efforts.

Team Collaboration and Training

Work closely with IT, facilities, and executive teams to align physical security with enterprise cybersecurity strategies. Deliver engaging training sessions to empower staff with knowledge of security best practices, fostering a culture of vigilance.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Physical Security Specialist role, candidates must demonstrate proven expertise in Kantech and AiPhone systems, alongside a solid foundation in cybersecurity principles. We require at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in physical security operations, with a track record of managing complex installations and responses to security incidents. A bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, criminal justice, or a related field is highly preferred, complemented by certifications such as CISSP, PSP (Physical Security Professional), CompTIA Security+, or manufacturer-specific credentials for Kantech and AiPhone.
