  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain standard cost models, conducting detailed variance analysis for materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Generate comprehensive Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reports and perform budget-to-actual comparisons.
  • Manage reconciliations for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventories.
  • Support and oversee physical inventory counts and cycle counting procedures.
  • Produce plant-level financial statements and present variance insights to leadership.
  • Identify and champion cost-saving initiatives through operational partnerships.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this dynamic role, candidates should demonstrate:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in plant accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance.
  • Proven expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory control.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards, paired with advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization).
  • Experience with month-end closes, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex manufacturing data into business insights.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
