  • Cost Optimization: Implement advanced cost accounting systems, conduct standard cost reviews, and perform variance analysis to drive manufacturing efficiency.
  • Inventory Excellence: Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, and obsolescence reviews to maintain tight control over $XXM+ in assets.
  • Performance Analytics: Track and report KPIs like OEE, labor efficiency, scrap rates, and overhead absorption to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Team Development: Build and coach a high-performing finance team of 5-10 professionals, fostering a culture of accuracy and innovation.
  • Compliance Leadership: Champion SOX compliance, internal audits, and serve as the key contact for external auditors and tax authorities.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work seamlessly with supply chain, engineering, and sales to align financial goals with operational realities.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Active CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification.
  • 7-10+ years of manufacturing accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a plant controllership or similar leadership role.
  • Deep expertise in cost accounting, standard costing, and ERP systems like SAP, JDE, or Epicor.
  • Proven track record in inventory management, variance analysis, and financial reporting under GAAP/IFRS.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for KPI dashboards.
  • Excellent leadership abilities, with experience mentoring teams in a manufacturing context.
  • Automotive or heavy manufacturing background highly desirable.
