About the Role

The Plant Controller is a pivotal business partner reporting to the Division Finance Director. Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Compliance

Take ownership of plant-wide accounting, including general ledger maintenance, cost accounting, inventory control, accounts payable, and receivable. Lead all financial close processes—monthly, quarterly, and annual—while upholding GAAP standards and regulatory compliance. Your precision will safeguard the plant's financial integrity.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

Develop the annual plant budget and rolling forecasts, delivering in-depth variance analysis on costs, inventory, and KPIs. Use advanced Excel modeling and Dynamics NAV data to uncover trends and provide leadership with clear, data-driven insights.

Cost Control & Process Optimization

Monitor operating expenses, pinpoint savings opportunities, and collaborate on efficiency projects. Master Microsoft Dynamics NAV to enhance reporting dashboards, potentially integrating tools like Power BI for real-time visibility into operational metrics.

Strategic Partnering & Team Leadership

Align finance with operations on capital investments, pricing strategies, and production planning. Serve as the bridge to corporate finance. Mentor your direct report, fostering accountability, skill growth, and a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA strongly preferred. Bring 5+ years in financial/cost accounting, ideally in manufacturing, plus proven team management experience.

Technical & Core Competencies

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV (or similar ERP), expert Excel skills, and deep knowledge of cost principles and inventory metrics. Power BI familiarity is a plus. Excel with analytical problem-solving, communicating complex finances simply, unwavering attention to detail, and a proactive improvement mindset. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for influencing across organizational levels.
