Key Responsibilities

As Plant Controller, you'll take full ownership of the financial health of the manufacturing facility. Your daily impact will include:

• Financial Oversight: Own all plant-level accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
• Close and Analysis: Lead the monthly close process, prepare financial statements, and conduct detailed variance analysis to explain performance drivers.
• Cost Management: Manage standard costing systems, inventory accounting, and cost of goods sold (COGS), identifying discrepancies and opportunities for optimization.
• Planning and Forecasting: Develop comprehensive plant budgets, rolling forecasts, and operating plans that align with corporate objectives.
• Strategic Partnership: Collaborate closely with the Plant Manager and operations leaders to enhance margins, streamline processes, and boost overall efficiency.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: Perform in-depth analysis of manufacturing costs, pinpointing areas for reduction without compromising quality.
• Compliance and Controls: Ensure strict adherence to GAAP, SOX/internal controls, and company policies, mitigating risks effectively.
• Capital Projects: Support capex analysis, ROI modeling, and justification for plant investments and expansions.
• Coordination: Liaise with corporate finance teams and external auditors to facilitate seamless audits and reporting.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and oversee plant accounting staff, fostering a high-performance culture.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Plant Controller, you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
• 5-10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing accounting, with at least 3 years in a plant controller or similar role.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification highly desirable.
• Deep expertise in standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards, plus advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence operations leaders and drive business results.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and cost-saving opportunities.
