Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve a blend of analytical rigor and collaborative teamwork:

• Partner closely with Account Managers to deliver pricing support that enhances customer satisfaction and secures repeat business.

• Scrutinize technical documents like component drawings and bills of materials (BOMs) to compute accurate current and projected costs.
• Balance competitive pricing with robust margin targets, adapting strategies to fluctuating market conditions in the aerospace sector.
• Foster enduring partnerships with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams to streamline processes and information flow.
• Work hand-in-hand with Engineering to verify that customer RFQs align seamlessly with product designs and industry standards.
• Rigorously validate cost inputs from Purchasing and Engineering to guarantee the integrity of all pricing calculations.
• Efficiently manage the end-to-end RFQ process, from intake to proposal delivery, ensuring speed and precision under tight deadlines.
• Compile and present daily quote performance metrics to sales leadership, offering actionable insights for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Cost Estimator position, you'll bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in pricing analysis, cost estimation, or a similar analytical role, ideally within aerospace, manufacturing, or defense industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization; experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and BOMs for cost computation.
• Strong understanding of market dynamics, competitor benchmarking, and margin analysis in a B2B environment.
