Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will keep you at the forefront of financial operations:

• Prepare and process monthly invoices for more than 200 projects, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
• Accurately invoice and reconcile project-related expenses on a monthly basis to maintain financial integrity.
• Generate comprehensive supporting documentation for invoice backups, facilitating audits and compliance.
• Produce detailed accounts receivable (AR) reports and post cash receipts efficiently into the accounting system.
• Perform meticulous balance sheet reconciliations for revenue and accounts receivable, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Oversee company expenses semi-monthly, verifying correct general ledger (G/L) postings for optimal accuracy.
• Leverage expertise in G/L and trial balance to uphold the highest standards of financial reporting.
• Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to align billing with project milestones.
• Contribute to month-end close processes, ad-hoc reporting, and process improvements for efficiency gains.

Required Qualifications for Project Accountant

To excel in this role, candidates should bring a proven track record in accounting with a focus on project-based financial management. Key qualifications include:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in project accounting, billing, or accounts receivable roles.

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, general ledger operations, and trial balance analysis.
