Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve a wide array of critical tasks designed to keep properties financially healthy:

• Prepare accurate monthly financial reports, property budget variance analyses, and compelling financial narratives for client review.
• Handle quarterly and year-end accrual-based workpapers and record precise journal entries.
• Support annual audits by preparing reconciliations and swiftly responding to auditor requests.
• Oversee cash management, cash planning, and weekly check runs for assigned properties.
• Ensure proper invoice coding and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and the CFO to manage collections and reconcile tenant receivables.
• Prepare lender-required loan and escrow/reserve draw requests.
• Assist in developing annual property budgets and specialized financial reports for clients and lenders.
• Prepare and review CAM/INS/RET recovery models and tenant billings.
• Manage RET recovery billings, tax invoice coding, and communicate with lenders or tenants on tax payments.
• Prepare audit and tax return workpapers for client CPA firms.
• Coordinate with the Cash Manager to open or close bank accounts as needed.
• Monitor property tax assessments and liaise with taxing authorities to resolve issues.
• Assist with job cost project setup, draw requests, and lender reporting.
• Perform document scanning and electronic filing for organized record-keeping.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, you should bring:

• Commercial Real Estate accounting experience (REQUIRED).
• Background in public accounting with real estate clients is welcome.

• Experience with cash management, AR reconciliations, and audit support.
