Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will be instrumental in the following core areas:

• Accounting Operations Leadership: Lead and oversee all accounting operations, driving process improvement and standardization across the organization to support scalable growth.
• Acquisition Integration: Spearhead the integration of accounting functions for new acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions during two imminent mergers and a robust 2026 pipeline.
• Advanced Revenue and Contract Accounting: Manage complex revenue recognition and contract accounting, with hands-on application of Percentage of Completion (POC) standards, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), and ASC 842 (Lease Accounting).
• Team Management: Supervise and develop a team of 3 direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture focused on accuracy and innovation.
• Process Optimization: Refine AR/AP processes for maximum efficiency, accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.
• Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial best practices, risk mitigation strategies, and staying ahead of GAAP and regulatory changes.
• Audit and Reporting: Coordinate seamlessly with external auditors, supporting all financial audits, reporting requirements, and compliance initiatives.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or advanced certification strongly preferred).
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or senior leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in mergers and acquisitions, particularly accounting integration during rapid expansion.
• Deep technical expertise in POC accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases, and GAAP compliance.
• Proven track record of leading and developing accounting teams in dynamic, growth-oriented settings.
• Strong process improvement skills, with experience optimizing AR/AP and financial workflows.
• Excellent communication and advisory skills for executive-level interactions.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with high autonomy.
