Key Responsibilities

As the cornerstone of our SEC reporting function, your day-to-day will include:

• Overseeing the preparation and filing of quarterly (10-Q) and annual (10-K) reports, ensuring full GAAP and SEC compliance.
• Managing SOX 404 policies and controls, with a sharp focus on internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
• Conducting in-depth research on emerging technical accounting issues, such as revenue recognition, leases, or business combinations, and preparing comprehensive memo documentation.
• Analyzing monthly and quarterly operating results to identify trends, variances, and insights for leadership.
• Creating polished slide decks and materials for business review meetings, earnings calls, and board presentations.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors, facilitating smooth audit processes from planning to completion.
• Leading special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, or ad-hoc reporting needs.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this SEC Reporting Manager position, you should bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• CPA certification or active progress toward it is highly preferred.
• At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in financial reporting, ideally within public companies or the energy sector.
• Proven track record with SEC filings (10-Q/10-K), SOX compliance, and technical accounting under US GAAP.
• Strong analytical skills for researching complex accounting standards (ASC topics) and drafting position memos.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial software like Workiva or EDGAR filing systems.
