Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting Duties

  • Execute general ledger reconciliations and prepare month-end closing journal entries while maintaining strict GAAP compliance to support precise financial reporting.
  • Lead the full month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for timely and accurate closings.
  • Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements adhering to all applicable accounting standards.

Government Contracting Expertise

  • Assist in contract revenue recognition per ASC 606, ensuring alignment with complex government terms.
  • Monitor revenue recognition accuracy based on FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards).
  • Apply and oversee indirect cost rates, managing provisional billing rates and incurred cost submissions.
  • Support preparation of incurred cost submissions and compile year-end audit workpapers for seamless audits.

Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to tax laws, internal controls, and organizational policies to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with leadership on developing and implementing innovative financial processes to boost efficiency.

Required Qualifications
