Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all related tasks.
• Review and analyze monthly income statements and supporting financial reports for accuracy and insights.
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, internal procedures, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Collaborate closely with the Controller, offering proactive support throughout the financial cycle.
• Prepare schedules, documentation, and account reconciliations to facilitate seamless external audits.
• Drive continuous process improvements, identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices.
• Handle ad-hoc accounting projects and contribute to departmental initiatives as needed.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Senior Accountant position, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries.
• Deep expertise in GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
• Proven track record in balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis.
• Experience supporting external audits, including schedule preparation and documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks), and financial software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for partnering with leadership and teams.
