Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day will be varied and impactful:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting for three entities, including specialized nightclub operations requiring precise revenue tracking.
- Perform detailed general ledger maintenance and reconciliations to maintain audit-ready books.
- Lead month-end and year-end closes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, providing ownership with clear insights.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, bank, and credit card reconciliations to optimize liquidity.
- Handle journal entries, intercompany transactions, revenue recognition, and expense recording with precision.
- Streamline accounts payable using Bill.com, ensuring vendor payments are processed efficiently.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 70 employees, including reconciliations and tax filings.
- Conduct system evaluations and lead standardization initiatives across all entities.
- Collaborate with leadership to deploy a unified accounting platform like QuickBooks or NetSuite.
- Prepare and file sales & use taxes, business taxes, and ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with external auditors, CPAs, and tax advisors for seamless financial operations.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis to drive business decisions.
- Continuously enhance processes, internal controls, and reporting for maximum efficiency.
Required Qualifications
To excel, you need:
- 5+ years in accounting, with hands-on multi-entity experience.
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance; CPA preferred.
