Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the financial reporting team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of quarterly external financial statements, ensuring complete and accurate disclosures for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows.
  • Preparing monthly internal management flash reports to provide timely insights to leadership.
  • Supporting the monthly close process through journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules.
  • Performing and documenting annual goodwill and intangible impairment testing procedures to maintain compliance.
  • Managing rollforwards of quarterly financial statements using Workiva software.
  • Researching emerging accounting pronouncements and documenting their impact on the organization.
  • Conducting in-depth research on SEC and US GAAP guidance, including peer analysis for disclosures.
  • Collaborating with external auditors to address questions and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Executing monthly and quarterly analytics over financial statements for performance monitoring.
  • Prioritizing multiple projects to meet critical deadlines while coordinating key deliverables.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Senior Accountant role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, ideally in a corporate or public accounting environment.
