Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Implementation

Lead the design and deployment of scalable, secure Microsoft Azure solutions, encompassing compute (VMs, Functions, App Services), storage (Blob, Table, Queue, Files), and networking (VNETs, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers). You'll architect resilient infrastructures that support diverse organizational workloads while adhering to Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.

Database & Data Optimization

Optimize Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics (Data Warehouse), and other data services for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Implement data pipelines and integration strategies to ensure seamless data flow across hybrid and cloud environments.

Security & Identity Management

Champion Azure security best practices, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration, single sign-on (SSO), role-based access control (RBAC), and threat protection services. Protect sensitive non-profit data through zero-trust architectures and compliance-ready configurations.

Monitoring, DevOps & Automation

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, with comprehensive monitoring via Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Automate infrastructure provisioning with ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform to accelerate delivery and minimize errors.

Collaboration & Agile Delivery

Partner with developers, data scientists, and stakeholders in daily Scrum ceremonies to deliver cloud solutions that align with business objectives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship on Azure best practices.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role, candidates must demonstrate:

• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience, with proven expertise in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services
• Advanced proficiency in Azure networking, compute, and storage solutions
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and source control
• Deep knowledge of Azure security, Entra ID, and compliance frameworks
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies in cloud delivery projects
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for cost/performance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Azure certifications highly preferred (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400)
