Lead the charge in directing budget planning and rolling forecast processes across various corporate units, with a special emphasis on aligning with IT leadership to support technology-driven initiatives. You will create, update, and analyze sophisticated financial models to identify cost efficiencies, forecast trends, and align with broader strategic objectives. Prepare comprehensive variance and trend reports, delivering targeted recommendations to senior leadership that influence key decisions. Evaluate financial outcomes, investment returns (ROI), and monitor expenditures for IT projects, ensuring forecast precision through continuous performance monitoring and proactive improvements. Serve as a trusted financial consultant to department heads, guiding them in optimizing spend within approved budgets and fostering fiscal discipline.
Handle the recording and reconciliation of expense transactions and capital project costs, strictly adhering to GAAP standards and internal company policies. Take ownership of monthly and annual closing cycles for assigned business units, maintaining rigorous account reconciliations and documentation to uphold compliance and audit readiness. Your meticulous approach will ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial data.
Produce timely, clear financial statements and management reports that highlight key drivers, explain variances, and provide deep insights. Monitor IT-related budget allocations, project costs, and business cases, ensuring full compliance with corporate approval processes. Distill complex financial data into compelling, actionable narratives tailored for executive teams, empowering data-driven decision-making.
Build strong partnerships with IT and executive leaders, translating operational initiatives into measurable financial impacts. Champion enhancements to financial processes and reporting systems to achieve greater speed, accuracy, and efficiency. Support the deployment of best practices in budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking, positioning the organization for sustained success.
To excel in this Senior Financial Analyst role, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, coupled with 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate accounting. Proficiency in advanced Excel, financial modeling, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data visualization tools like Tableau is essential. Deep knowledge of GAAP, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is required, along with demonstrated experience in IT financial management or project costing. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage close processes are non-negotiable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are key for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to executives. CPA, CMA, or MBA certifications are highly preferred.
