Key Responsibilities

In this hands-on Senior Fund Accountant role, you'll:

• Prepare comprehensive financial reporting, including capital calls, distributions, capital account management, management fees, and intricate waterfall calculations.
• Lead assistance in quarterly close processes, overseeing and reviewing third-party fund administrators and back-office service providers for seamless execution.
• Support critical annual audit, tax preparation, and 1099 reporting processes to ensure full compliance.
• Calculate quarterly Net Asset Values (NAV), prepare annual financial statements, and generate partners’ capital statements with meticulous accuracy.
• Develop performance reports and respond efficiently to investor, client, and audit-related inquiries.
• Manage end-to-end accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) workflows, including precise cash reconciliations.
• Collaborate closely with the investment team to secure funding for investments, operational expenses, and timely distributions.
• Execute daily cash coding and conduct weekly position reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving measures, and system enhancements to boost operational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

To excel as a Senior Fund Accountant at this $5B AUM firm, candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of progressive fund accounting experience, ideally in investment management, private equity, or real estate funds.
• Deep expertise in fund accounting principles, including waterfalls, capital accounts, and performance reporting.
