Key Responsibilities

Your role will span two critical pillars: Intellectual Property Management and Anti-Diversion Leadership.

Intellectual Property Duties

  • Draft and review cease and desist letters, opposition notices, and cancellation petitions for USPTO proceedings.
  • Negotiate, draft, and revise settlement agreements for US and international trademark disputes.
  • Collaborate with global IP teams to create unified strategies and implement them domestically.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel for TTAB proceedings and infringement litigations.
  • Prosecute trademarks: assist in clearance searches, respond to office actions, and handle renewals.
  • Advise on copyrights, patents, domain names, trade secrets, and support commercial contract negotiations.
  • Supervise the senior paralegal, assigning priorities and responsibilities.

Anti-Diversion Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategies to combat product diversion, aligning with the brand's long-term vision.
  • Plan operations, set KPIs, and maximize commercial/legal actions against unauthorized distribution.
  • Partner with global anti-diversion teams, internal stakeholders, and external partners for enforcement.
  • Produce US leadership reports, manage budgets, and create educational resources for program efficiency.
  • Direct the Legal Anti-Diversion team to protect authorized channels and mitigate risks.

Required Qualifications

To excel, you need:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active NY bar membership (or eligibility).
