Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Litigation Attorney, you'll take ownership of litigation lifecycles:

• Lead all phases from pre-suit through trial and appeal, delivering results in state and federal courts.
• Perform thorough case assessments, liability evaluations, and coverage analyses for trucking accidents.
• Oversee discovery processes, including analysis of telematics data, ECM downloads, and driver qualification files.
• Conduct and defend depositions of drivers, eyewitnesses, fact witnesses, and top-tier experts.
• Strategically retain and prepare experts in accident reconstruction, biomechanics, medical causation, and FMCSA compliance.
• Draft compelling dispositive motions, motions in limine, and evidentiary arguments tailored to Colorado rules.
• Deliver detailed exposure reports and settlement strategies to insurance carrier clients.
• Excel in mediations, arbitrations, and jury trials, navigating Colorado's comparative fault and damage cap frameworks.
• Maintain expertise in evolving FMCSA regulations, Hours of Service rules, and Colorado-specific trucking statutes.

Required Qualifications

To succeed, candidates must demonstrate:

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in the Colorado State Bar.
• Minimum 7 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on insurance defense and trucking/transportation law.
• Proven trial experience, including first-chair roles in high-exposure matters.
• In-depth knowledge of Colorado tort reform, personal injury law, and federal motor carrier safety regulations.
