Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll oversee all aspects of external financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. Responsibilities are strategically allocated to maximize impact:

• Technical Guidance Interpretation (25%): Analyze new FASB/GAAP, SEC regulations, and pronouncements to determine financial reporting implications, safeguarding the company's compliance.
• SEC/FERC Reporting Management (15%): Direct the creation and submission of quarterly and annual reports to SEC, FERC, and state regulators, maintaining complete and accurate disclosures.
• Leadership in Controllership (15%): Act as an active leader within the controllership and finance communities, fostering collaboration and best practices.
• Business Unit Liaison (15%): Serve as the primary contact for Business Unit internal reporting teams, streamlining communication and data flow.
• External Liaison (15%): Coordinate with external auditors, legal counsel, and contributors to ensure seamless reporting processes.
• Internal Reporting & Analysis (10%): Oversee internal financial reporting and historical operations analyses for insightful decision-making.
• Controls Oversight (5%): Partner with Internal Audit and Accounting Manager to uphold robust disclosure and internal controls.

Required Qualifications

To excel, candidates need proven expertise in financial reporting leadership:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; CPA strongly preferred.
• 8-10+ years in external reporting, with SEC filing experience.
• Deep proficiency in FASB/GAAP, SEC rules, and regulatory interpretation.
