Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python-based applications and microservices that power trading platforms, risk engines, and analytics tools.
• Engineer high-throughput systems for trade capture, position management, valuations, P&L attribution, and exposure analytics, ensuring reliability under high-volume conditions.
• Handle the full lifecycle of commodities and fixed-income instruments, including pricing models, event-driven processing, and settlement workflows.
• Integrate and optimize real-time and batch market data feeds from premier providers such as ICE, CME, Bloomberg, and Refinitiv, enabling seamless data flow for decision-making.
• Architect APIs, data pipelines, and ETL processes to connect front-office trading desks with downstream risk, compliance, and reporting systems.
• Profile and optimize code for high-performance financial data processing, tackling challenges like low-latency execution and large-scale analytics.
• Collaborate intimately with front-office traders, risk managers, and quantitative analysts to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
• Maintain data integrity through reconciliation, validation, and auditing processes across interconnected trading and risk ecosystems.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Senior Python Developer role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Advanced proficiency in Python, including frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, Pandas, NumPy, and experience with asynchronous programming (asyncio).
• 5+ years in financial services software development, with hands-on work in trading systems, risk platforms, or market data applications.
• Domain expertise in commodities trading (e.g., energy, metals, agriculture) and fixed-income markets (bonds, swaps, repos), including instrument pricing and risk metrics.
• Proven track record with market data integration, handling feeds from ICE, CME, Bloomberg, Refinitiv, or similar.
