  • Translate intricate tax concepts into clear, actionable guidance that empowers clients to make informed decisions.
  • Monitor developments in federal, state, and local tax laws, identifying opportunities for clients to optimize their positions.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Oversee the timely and accurate preparation and filing of income, sales, property, and specialty taxes across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Conduct in-depth research to resolve tax notices, IRS correspondence, audits, and other complex technical issues.
  • Ensure robust compliance frameworks that not only mitigate risks but also enhance strategic planning initiatives.

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic partner to business owners, CFOs, and key decision-makers, fostering deep relationships built on trust and results.
  • Collaborate closely with bookkeeping, advisory, and financial planning teams to uncover tax implications hidden in financial data.
  • Participate in advanced planning discussions, mergers & acquisitions advisory, estate planning, and other high-level initiatives.

Process Improvement & Thought Leadership

  • Drive the development and refinement of innovative tax planning processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Introduce operational efficiencies that minimize reactive compliance work and elevate the overall client experience.
  • Mentor junior staff, sharing expertise to cultivate a firm-wide culture of strategic, advisory-oriented tax practices.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Senior Tax Strategist, candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, with CPA, EA, or other advanced certifications highly preferred.
