About the SharePoint Consultant Role

This is a 100% onsite position in Des Moines, Iowa, offering a 3-4 month contract opportunity to work directly with the Infrastructure Engineering team. As a SharePoint Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing internal processes, automating complex workflows, and enhancing team collaboration through innovative Microsoft 365 solutions. Key Responsibilities

Design and Implementation

• Partner directly with Infrastructure Engineers to design, build, and deploy automated workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint Online.
• Develop low-code Power Apps solutions to optimize processes like request tracking, multi-stage approvals, and comprehensive project documentation management.

Customization and Maintenance

• Customize and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, document libraries, and permissions to perfectly align with Infrastructure team operations and workflows.
• Create interactive dashboards and reporting tools for enhanced workflow visibility, performance monitoring, and compliance tracking.

Integration and Support

• Seamlessly integrate SharePoint with essential Microsoft 365 ecosystem tools including Microsoft Teams, Power BI, OneDrive, Intune, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
• Provide hands-on, onsite troubleshooting, system enhancements, user training, and technical support to ensure smooth daily operations.

Governance and Compliance

• Maintain comprehensive documentation, establish governance standards, and implement security protocols to meet organizational compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with IT leadership to safeguard data security, ensure regulatory adherence, and support scalable Microsoft 365 growth.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this SharePoint Consultant role, candidates must demonstrate proven hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint Online. Key qualifications include:

• 3+ years of experience designing and implementing solutions using SharePoint Online, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
• Demonstrated success developing custom Power Apps for business process automation, including complex approval workflows and data integration.
• Strong expertise customizing SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and metadata for enterprise team collaboration.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365 services such as Teams, Power BI, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Intune, and Azure AD.
• Knowledge of IT governance best practices, data security standards, and compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with proven onsite troubleshooting experience in production environments.
• Superior communication skills for collaborating with technical teams, stakeholders, and end-users.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Microsoft certifications (PL-200, PL-400, MS-102) highly desirable.
