A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with proven expertise in AWS and Azure services like EC2, EKS, AKS, Lambda, and Cosmos DB. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash is essential for automation scripting.
Key technical skills include deep knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration, monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus), and observability platforms. Experience with incident management tools like PagerDuty and conducting blameless post-mortems is crucial. You should demonstrate a track record in cloud cost management using tools like AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management, as well as IaC practices with Terraform.
