As an SRE, you will play a pivotal role in designing, operating, and enhancing a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient multi-cloud platform. This full-time position offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies across AWS and Azure, driving reliability, automation, and observability in a fast-paced environment. Join us to contribute to innovative projects that support thousands of clients worldwide, all while advancing your career in one of the Southeast's most vibrant tech hubs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage reliable and scalable systems across multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Develop and refine service level objectives (SLOs), service level indicators (SLIs), and error budgets to define and measure system reliability standards.
  • Lead comprehensive root cause analyses for production incidents, authoring post-mortems and implementing proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Enhance platform observability by building and maintaining robust metrics, logs, traces, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives through advanced cost visibility dashboards, predictive forecasting models, and accountability frameworks to reduce waste without compromising performance.
  • Collaborate closely with security teams to embed security practices into DevOps workflows, ensuring compliance with standards like SOC 2, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Automate operational workflows using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible, alongside CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning tools for smarter incident analysis, anomaly detection, automated capacity planning, and predictive maintenance.
  • Mentor and guide engineering teams on SRE best practices, reliability engineering principles, and cost-efficient cloud architectures.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including product, engineering, and leadership—to influence technical roadmaps and elevate overall operational maturity.

Required Qualifications for SRE Position

To succeed as a Site Reliability Engineer at Robert Half, candidates should bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or systems engineering roles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash is essential for automation scripting.

Key technical skills include deep knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration, monitoring stacks (ELK, Prometheus), and observability platforms. Experience with incident management tools like PagerDuty and conducting blameless post-mortems is crucial. You should demonstrate a track record in cloud cost management using tools like AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management, as well as IaC practices with Terraform. Familiarity with AI-driven ops tools (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Azure ML) and security frameworks will set you apart.
