Key Responsibilities

In this critical role, you'll take ownership of core financial processes while driving continuous improvement. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and reviewing comprehensive financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Leading month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all deadlines are met with zero discrepancies.
  • Conducting detailed account reconciliations across general ledger, bank statements, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
  • Collaborating on annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and variance analysis to inform executive decisions.
  • Serving as a key liaison during internal audits and external audits with CPA firms, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with SOX requirements, company policies, and all relevant federal/state regulations.
  • Partnering cross-functionally with operations, HR, and sales teams to optimize financial processes and implement stronger internal controls.
  • Performing advanced financial analysis using Excel and BI tools to identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue trends, and performance metrics.
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to team knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Staying current with evolving accounting standards and implementing best practices.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Senior Accountant role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Master's preferred).
  • 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or industry roles.
  • Active CPA license or progress toward certification strongly preferred.
