Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal Sr. Accountant role, you will:

  • Engage directly with third-party administrators and external auditors to prepare and issue funds’ financial statements and handle regulatory filings with precision and timeliness.
  • Act as a central liaison across firm teams—including sales, client service, legal, operations, and corporate finance—for all fund-related matters, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Oversee client inquiries and manage comprehensive fund operating procedures to maintain high service standards.
  • Perform in-depth analyses for product development and new initiatives, presenting findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Support portfolio management teams by fulfilling ad hoc reporting requests and addressing investor queries efficiently.
  • Foster collaboration within the fund administration team to standardize reporting processes and ensure consistency.
  • Utilize advanced portfolio accounting systems to oversee the monthly performance reporting process, delivering accurate and actionable insights.
  • Continuously review and refine operational processes to boost efficiencies and uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with third-party tax preparers to produce investor tax deliverables and respond promptly to investor questions.
  • Contribute to high-impact projects spanning diverse fund types, from private hedge funds to international vehicles like Irish UCITS and Luxembourg funds.

Required Qualifications

To excel as our Sr. Accountant, you should bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, senior accounting, or financial reporting within the investment management sector.
  • Deep expertise in hedge funds, US Registered funds, UCITS, and other global fund structures.
  • Proficiency with portfolio accounting systems and financial software for reporting and analysis.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with a track record of conducting revenue/expense projections and management reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for engaging board members, clients, auditors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory filings, tax deliverables, and process improvements.
