Key Responsibilities

The Sr. Accountant will own critical aspects of fund administration across international jurisdictions. Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the primary point of contact for multiple registered and private funds in the United States, Canada, Ireland, and Luxembourg, managing relationships with third-party administrators and vendors while working alongside senior fund administration team members.
• Leading preparation, review, and analysis of fund reporting, with deep focus on net asset valuation (NAV) calculations, security valuation, fund budgets, and expense analysis to drive impactful decision-making.
• Serving as key support for fund board members, partnering with external auditors and administrators to produce financial statements, regulatory filings, and presentations for board approval.
• Coordinating cross-functionally with sales, client service, legal, operations, and corporate finance teams on fund operations, client inquiries, product development, performance fee calculations, legal reviews, and revenue projections.
• Constructing detailed analyses for product development and new strategic initiatives, demonstrating sound business judgment and product expertise for senior management.
• Assisting portfolio management teams with ad hoc reporting requests and investor-related questions.
• Leveraging the Advent Geneva portfolio accounting system to manage the monthly performance reporting process and ensure consistency across all fund products, including private hedge funds, US registered funds, Irish UCITS, Canadian, and Luxembourg funds.
• Continuously reviewing processes for efficiencies, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting team projects.
• Collaborating with third-party tax preparers to deliver investor tax packages and resolve investor queries.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this Sr. Accountant role, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in fund accounting, administration, or similar roles handling multi-jurisdictional funds.
