Key Responsibilities

Your role will be pivotal in overseeing critical financial processes:

• Supervise the monthly and quarterly close processes, including completion of support and control documentation for both tax and GAAP bases.

• Manage the Fund Accountant team by answering complex questions, providing technical guidance, and reviewing point commentary.
• Drive operational efficiencies by evaluating processes and maximizing accounting system capabilities.
• Prepare and scrutinize expense allocations to ensure full compliance with limited partnership agreements.
• Engage directly with limited partners, reviewing or responding to accounting-related investor inquiries.
• Collaborate with public accounting firm auditors for interim reviews, year-end audits, addressing queries, and participating in technical discussions.
• Conduct in-depth research and apply accounting rules to investment fund transactions, referencing the Audit Guide for Investment Companies.
• Interpret and implement limited partnership agreement provisions for transactions and partner allocations.
• Review capital call and distribution allocations, as well as investor notifications.
• Prepare and review responses to SEC inquiries.
• Support ad hoc projects, including investor reporting enhancements, accounting software upgrades, fundraising initiatives, and tax functions like federal/state K-1 reviews and advisor support.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5-7 years of progressive experience in fund accounting, private equity, or investment management.
