Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day impact will include:

  • Preparing and analyzing comprehensive financial statements with meticulous attention to accuracy and full compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other industry standards.
  • Managing all aspects of general ledger operations, from monthly reconciliations and journal entries to seamless month-end and year-end closings.
  • Overseeing critical accounting functions like fixed asset management, payroll processing, accruals, and prepaid expenses to ensure timely, error-free reporting.
  • Guiding clients through audit processes by preparing detailed audit schedules, responding to inquiries, and providing necessary documentation for smooth external reviews.
  • Proactively identifying process inefficiencies and implementing cutting-edge best practices to streamline operations and boost overall financial performance.
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and ad-hoc financial modeling to support strategic decision-making.
  • Taking ownership of special projects, including ERP system implementations, accounting policy overhauls, merger integrations, and acquisition due diligence.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this Sr. Accountant role, you should bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least 5-7 years of hands-on experience in progressive accounting roles, ideally with public accounting or corporate finance exposure.
  • Active CPA license or progress toward certification strongly preferred; CMA or other relevant certifications a plus.
  • Deep expertise in GAAP, SOX compliance, and financial reporting standards, with a track record of audit readiness.
