Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will encompass a wide range of high-impact accounting tasks essential to the foundation's operations:

• Manage general ledger operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting compliant with GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and verify proper classification of all transactions.
• Support the annual financial statement audit by compiling comprehensive documentation, schedules, and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with senior staff on the annual budget preparation process, incorporating forecasting and scenario planning.
• Monitor budget performance through ongoing variance analysis, benchmarking against industry peers, and delivering actionable financial insights to drive decision-making.
• Oversee treasury functions, including managing banking relationships and coordinating with external partners to meet the foundation's cash management and liquidity needs.
• Maintain and administer the chart of accounts, ensuring robust financial reporting systems.
• Participate in cross-functional project teams focused on process improvements, business controls, and operational efficiencies.
• Provide expert recommendations on accounting treatments for complex transactions and innovative activities.
• Engage in knowledge sharing initiatives and cross-train across Finance roles to foster team resilience and collaboration.

Required Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

• CPA license or successful completion of the Uniform CPA exam (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least four years of progressive accounting or auditing experience in a sophisticated financial environment.
• Advanced proficiency in core accounting functions: journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with senior stakeholders and external partners.
