Monitor daily cash balances across funding sources and produce short-term and long-term cash forecasts to guide business decisions. You will compile and distribute comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while developing annual operating budgets and multi-year financial forecasts.
Perform critical reconciliations for general ledger accounts, investment statements, and bank accounts. Prepare accurate journal entries and scrutinize accounting documents for completeness. Generate insightful financial reports and analyses, presenting key findings to senior management each month. Manage loan payments, conduct thorough loan analyses, and maintain meticulous documentation. Coordinate with external tax firms for seamless return preparation, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal reporting standards. Additionally, oversee corporate and health insurance policies to uphold regulatory standards.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with at least 5-7 years of progressive senior accounting experience, ideally in real estate development or construction. Deep knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), job costing, and industry-specific financial practices is essential. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, Yardi, or Sage is required, alongside strong Excel skills for forecasting and reporting.
Proven supervisory experience managing accounting assistants is a must. You should excel in financial analysis, reconciliations, and preparing executive-level reports. CPA certification or progress toward it is highly preferred. Detail-oriented professionals with excellent communication skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance, will excel.
